About
Dara O’Connell graduated from DIT/Trinity College Dublin in 1997 with an honours degree in architecture, worked in architectural practices in Dublin and Cork, and worked as an architectural model maker in the USA, prior to forming dara o'connell architects in 2001. From inception, the main focus of the practice has been domestic and residential projects, ranging from house extensions and refurbishments, including to protected structures, to one off houses to small and medium scale housing, apartment schemes and holiday home schemes. The practice also has a wide experience in other areas of work from banks to zoos and anything in between. The majority of our work is within the greater Dublin area (including, Meath, Kildare and Wicklow) but work is undertaken country wide and we have completed projects in Louth, Wexford, Waterford, Cork, Limerick and Kerry. The main focus of the practice is to give each client, no matter the size of the job, a personal and professional level of service from inception through to completion and beyond. Dara is registered architect (Registration No. 01039) and member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI). Dara is a Grade III architect accredited in conservation. Dara is also a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
